Welcome to the channel. I am Michael Bryan, and in this video, I want to show you the three best screen recording apps that you can use for your YouTube channel, absolutely free. Of course, there are also improved versions for them, and I'll talk about that later in the video, but if you want a free screen recording app on your computer for a YouTube channel, then here are three great apps.
Now I will not present them in any special order. It's not going to be like three, two, one, and one at once to see what's better overall, because I really think that each of them can be better for different users. Therefore, I will explain each of the three and who is better off using them. For example, the first one, I think, will be better if you're working with a group of people, or maybe if you just don't want to mess around with the computer and need something as simple as possible. Before I get to the next one, I want to say, if you're here for the first time and want to increase your social media influence (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, or whatever), consider subscribing to the channel by clicking the button below and clicking on the bell icon so you don't miss out on the new videos my brother and I make. We post videos every week absolutely free of charge.
So, let's get started. The first thing I want to show you is TinyTake. TinyTake is completely free and is by far the easiest of the three to install and use for the first time, and the interface is very intuitive, very simple. But it does have some limitations, which I'll talk about in a second. One of the handy advantages of this program that makes it very easy is that you only need to click on that huge green button here and you are given a lot of options. If you want to capture an area of the screen, you can easily do so. You don't need to record the entire screen and then trim it in post-production. Instead, you can just say "Let's capture the area" or "Capture the entire window" or "Capture the entire screen", whatever you want, or use the webcam. Very simple, very intuitive, and it's very easy to use.
And the last thing I use the most, and essentially used to record this entire video, is OBS Studio. It seems that this is a kind of industry standard. Many people like this program for its versatility. It's much more difficult to use compared to others, it's not as simple, and its interface is a little noisier, so you need to know what you're doing. By the way, I made a tutorial on how to use this program. I'll give the link here if you want to use OBS. I recommend to almost anyone who wants to record their screen, whether they're a seasoned professional or a complete beginner, OBS is a great program for live streaming or screen recording, and it works great. You won't have an editor, you won't have such a user-friendly interface, but you will have more features, it's a more powerful program, in my opinion, with which you can record your screen and it works really well.
