The first thing you should know is that when it comes to getting restricted on Facebook, there are levels of severity, meaning there are some things that are really easy to get around, and then there are some things that are really hard to get around. I'm going to actually break down all of the most common ones in this video. I'm going to start with the easy ones, and I'll end with the harder ones.
Now, as I'm going through this video and I'm showing you guys what to do, if you have any questions, please drop them in the comments below, and I'll do my best to answer everyone. Also, if you have any insight about things that I don't know or things that I didn't share in this video that could also help out the community, please drop them in the comments below. Let's help each other out so that we can take advantage of this incredible tool called Facebook ads.
The first way that a lot of people get restricted on Facebook is actually very easy to fix, and it's just confirming your identity or turning on two-factor authentication. So sometimes you'll see this in your ad account, or your business manager somewhere. You'll see like a little notification that says, 'Hey, you're restricted from ads,' and you just have to confirm your identity. Right? So click on whatever link is in that notification, and then what you'll do is you'll go over to the page that it takes you to.
The next very common thing that happens to a lot of people is they actually get their ad account restricted. All right, so this is a little bit more severe because with your ad account, this is the actual place where you run all of your ads from. So if your ad account is restricted, you can't run any ads in that ad account.
Now if this particular solution doesn't work for you, it's not letting you get your account back or it's not letting you create a new ad account, then what I would do at that point is actually go ahead and create a new business manager. The way that you do that is you go to business.face.com overview, and you will go ahead and create a new business manager at that point.
But, by now, the fourth way — and it's by far the worst way to get restricted — is actually getting your personal Facebook account restricted from running ads. Okay, the reason why this is the most severe is because basically this is the hierarchy how it goes, right? You have your personal Facebook account, and then you can create a business manager underneath your personal account.
And when you reach out, see if you can get it fixed that way. Now, here's what I'll say. If weeks go by and you're not getting any responses and you're not getting anywhere and you're just on the hamster wheel, not getting anything done, here's what I would say, okay? This is what I've done personally. I've had a lot of people take the same approach, and it works. This is how you get around it, no matter what happens to your account.
