One of the most effective and efficient ways for you to truly grow and scale your online business is to know when to hire in the experts. Now, if you've watched one of my videos before, you'll know that I have a small team of VA's who help me run my business. And it wasn't easy getting to the point where I've got this team of people who help me. It took a little while, I made some mistakes with my hiring, but we eventually got to a point where I was able to find the perfect people to help me run and scale my business. And honestly, I would not be able to hit six figures if I didn't have these people working within the company, right?
So one of the first things I recommend you do is to start getting serious about social proof. Social proof is essentially any piece of content which proves your product or your service. So think testimonials, reviews, things like that. Now, if you're like me when you started out, you probably were aware of the importance of social proof and testimonials, etc. You probably would have known that was important. So you probably asked people who you worked with or customers to share some testimonials, and then maybe you kind of scattered them around your website, and then you just kind of called it a day. Now, while that's a good approach, if you really want to scale your business to the next level, I recommend you start getting more strategic with how you use and also how you gather social proof.
So one of the main things that I did that really helped me scale was to transition my business model from one to one to one to many. Now whether or not this section of the video will be relevant to you may depend on the type of business that you have. I have a service-based business. So when I say one to one versus one to many, I'm referring to me working with people one-on-one versus me working with people at scale, at mass. I still work with people one-to-one; however, it's far fewer people than I used to. When I was first starting out, I was working with a lot of clients on a one-to-one basis. So when I decided that actually I wanted to scale a bit and I wanted to work with more people, impact more people, help more people, I realized that would require me to actually create a new product or service.
Another thing that I did which really helped me scale to six figures, and I really, really truly believe this will help you too, is I doubled down on my content. Now we all know how important content is when it comes to marketing. Especially if you're like me and you’re really active on social media, and you actually somewhat rely on social media channels to bring in traffic to your business. Now if that's the case, then a surefire way for you to get more awareness and more reach to your own business and your brand would be to double down on the amount of content you are producing and sharing. But not only that, but to actually spend some time improving the content that you're sharing too. A lot of people forget to do the latter.
Okay, final tip for you today, and the tip is to partner up. Now let me explain what I mean when I say partner up. I'm basically referring to you partnering with a brand or a person and leveraging the power of their audience. So this is all about leveraging the power of someone else's audience outside of your own. And if you do it properly, whoever you partner up with, they will also be able to leverage your audience too. So it's like a two-way thing, you help someone, they help you back. What's that phrase? 'If you scratch my back, and I scratch yours'? Is that a phrase? It's a bit of a weird one, that phrase, if that's what it is.
