One of the keys to make a long-term, stable income on Amazon is to get people off of Amazon, alright. And what I mean by that is the thing about Amazon is you can do Amazon FBA, which is a great way to get started, okay. It's excelling Amazon FBA, that means that Amazon is hosting, I mean, they're their warehouse has your product in it and they're shipping it for you, they're packaging it and everything. That's the most expensive way to make money on Amazon because Amazon has a lot of fees for the storage and the warehousing and um, but eventually you want to create a brand. So you want to create a website, you want to get people where you want to you want to build it up so that you aren't doing everything through Amazon itself. You want to branch out to other places. So you almost want to think about Amazon like a way to test out products and a way to figure out if this product is gonna work.
Because what happens long term with making money on Amazon, which is really the problem with the Amazon, one of the problems I have with Amazon FBA and the Amazon different Amazon courses that are out there are that Amazon will take over your own niche, see. They will become your competitor. So let's say you create a new product, you get an idea, you start selling it. It starts doing really well. There are multiple, multiple, multiple stories of people where Amazon actually moved in on their niche, started making it themselves or finding a manufacturer themselves and started selling it themselves right under your nose. Other people then can see that you're doing well also and they can create imitations of that, and it just, it's very, it's a constant battle to stay on top of the trends.
So you know, the way to get make money on Amazon is really to use Amazon for Market testing and to get you started but, eventually to be shipping your own products and to be selling your own products through other channels other than Amazon, um. And actually, you need to have a lot of money in the bank to really succeed with Amazon. I mean you need to have thousands of dollars, thousands and thousands of dollars so that you can start to test doing ads on Amazon, so you can test out different products so you can private label stuff. All these things are part of really succeeding on Amazon. It's really, really expensive, which is actually why I like the business model here that we teach with local Maps because you can get it started with very little money and you own everything. You're not paying out like a commission to Amazon, you're not paying warehousing fees, you're not risking Amazon shutting down your whole account, shutting down your whole business overnight, which has happened to really, really big sellers...
