Introduction to Exciting Alpha Opportunity

Welcome guys back to Alpha drop! My name is Ron. I'm joined with Michael. Now, today I have a very exciting Alpha for you guys, and I'm talking about a million—okay, multi-million dollar opportunity, literally. We'll get into that later. I'm very surprised that no one is talking about it right now, except for a couple of seasoned DeFi experts. But yes, the context here is I came upon this Alpha, this information from several DeFi Alpha groups. They're specialized in DeFi, not specifically airdrop hunting. DeFi, that is. Then I cross-checked this information on YouTube, on Twitter. A lot of other airdrop hunters are actually not really talking about this. And I think this is simply because this is too early right now. So it's best to prepare for this because this upcoming campaign is going to be a very exciting one. Cool. So, what is this, Ron? Tell me. Tell me more! Tell me more. Is money here?

Sonic Network Upgrade and Sonic Boom Bounty Program

Alright, so you all know that Phantom is going to go through a very big upgrade to their new layer one called Sonic right. And along with the tokenomics, they're going to migrate the FTM tokens one to one for the new s tokens. Now, two weeks ago, Sonic, and this is a complete Rebrand by the way, this is Sonic Labs, they're not called Phantom anymore. I think they're triggered if you call them Phantom. They launched a airdrop program, a bounty program called Sonic Boom and 37.5% of their s token will be allocated to gem holders...

Introduction of Sonic Boom Bounty Program

Exciting, right? But wait! We'll go through this blog step by step, alright. So, as we gear up for the highly anticipated launch of the Sonic Network, we're thrilled to unveil Sonic Boom, a bounty program for the Sonic Network and the introduction of Sonic Gems, which is the point system for their s airdrop. This initiative is set to drive early growth on Sonic by attracting top-tier projects and fostering the development of essential applications within our ecosystem.

Details on Sonic Gems and Sonic Boom Bounty Program

Sonic Gems are points that users can earn as part of our s airdrop, with 37.5%. Yeah, the Sonic Boom Bounty program is the first initiative where developers can secure an allocation of airdrops now. Sonic Boom offers up to 30 winning projects. So, the developers who are going to right now, they're competing for these 30 slots for the Sonic Network. They're going to get these airdrops, but they're going to act as points in our airdrop that projects can distribute to users as rewards for using their apps. So, that's the catch. There is that the developers are going to, or the developers or the projects are going to have a final say on how they're going to distribute the airdrops that they will receive from Sonic, which is previously Phantom. But still, this is $28 million. This is a lot of money and it's confirmed. This is a lot of token. Alright. So...

Insight into Incentives and Competition in the Sonic Network

So, so, so, let me just restate. So, this is where this conversation actually makes sense because me and Ronda didn't actually synch up beforehand. So, this is actually interesting because this is Phantom and PH is already live. So, when they give out money, it's actually real, you know, money. It's a real community. There's real exchanges all listening. So, you don't actually have to worry about any of that, right? Sometimes you go to get airdrops and they give you fake money and that sucks. You don't want fake money. Yeah, alright. But there is a catch here. So, the catch is that this is being given to their top projects and the projects then distribute that to the users. Okay, so it's kind of like convoluted. It's not directly through Phantom, but it's like they're trying to promote the growth of their ecosystem. So, they're saying, 'Okay, look, the top 30 projects, if they win, they get to get the tokens and then those tokens get distributed to the users of those projects.' So, yeah, it's a little bit more convoluted, but because there is a guarantee here that Phantom is, you know, it's actually one of my favorite projects, actually. So, that's why you're like, 'Oh, you're going to be excited for this.' And I'm like, 'Sure, of course.' So, that actually makes sense. That actually makes sense. Yeah. I mean, guys, if you're watching this and if you are a developer, you can actually apply to Sonic Boom and see if you want to build something. So, in terms of the timeline, we are very early because the program was launched on August 20. Right now is September 11. The deadline for submission will be November 1. Then on November 4, that's when they're going to announce the 30 projects that will win these tokens, these gems, which will be redistributed to users. And I guess, in a sense, the gems are also good because they're a precursor to, so you get to track your progress. So, I think that's also the other thing that's good about this. Obviously, there's going to be a lot of people competing, all right, because of how clear-cut this is and how much money is at stake. $28 million is not a small amount of money, right? You think about these life, you know, it's like some giveaway prizes and stuff, you know, people like 100K giveaway. And then, you know, people will be fighting for this. This is not... This is $28 million, right? So, there's going to be a lot of competition. So, I think this is where you definitely want to get in early. So, make sure you want to get in early and then basically, just find top 35 and go for it. And then, five of them lose out, it's okay, right? Yeah, I mean, that's the... That's the... How it... That's how it makes sense, right?

Call to Action for Developers and Users in Sonic Network

Yes. So, okay. This is right now the step being taken for developers. You have a call to action... If you are a developer. Then, what about for users, right? What about for you and me who just want to click buttons and get the airdrops? What can we do right now to position for the airdrop? So, as of a couple of weeks ago as well, Sonic launched their own Galaxy Quest. This is called the Road to Sonic series. This will end at the end of October, okay? So, there's going to be six series of quests. Right now, we're at Series 3. If you missed out on the previous two weeks, don't worry, because you can still do this now. The deadline is October 15. So, these are tasks that you can do, which are basically DeFi protocols on Phantom. On Phantom. So, last things like this. I think this is like a farewell to Phantom. It's like, 'Hurry up, use Phantom before we move on to Sonic.' So, for Series 1, you can use the Wormhole portal bridge to bridge a minimum of 50 USDC from Ethereum to Phantom. Then you can have this completed. So, these do require costs, require real Phantom tokens. And for this one as well, you'll need to liquid stake some Phantom tokens and hold at least 100 of those. And then this one is, I think a new game, five project on Phantom which you can play if you want to. So, yes, you do need native FTM tokens to pay for transaction fees. Okay. So, not bad. Series 2 as well, very relatively similar. Right. Perpetuals trading on the link. And then same task here for Series 3. I noticed this one is a new pump fun that is on Phantom, Degen Express. So, the task here is to trade 30 FTM worth of value on the Phantom pump fun. So, yeah, you don't need to a part here. Just complete that quest so you can get all of these series shards and combined at the end of October, which consists of six of these shards. And I think you might get a good reward from that. Yeah. In terms of participation, only 5,000, which I'm very surprised because Phantom is a huge ecosystem. But now, another interesting question is, well, what about the actual Sonic testnet? What can we do as users? So, they do have a Sonic testnet for front-end users, but there's not much to do. And this is interesting because in March of this year, this was actually around, but they've rebranded the UI and there were a couple of buttons for you to press. So you can get these, like, on-chain gems. But now, it looks like it's only limited to the actual Sonic testnet tokens and the corals. But the rest of these, I don't know if you can get these anymore just by claiming, but you can swap them on this dashboard right here. So as of now, as a front-end user, you can just play with the ERC20 swaps, but there's no actual other protocols that you can play around with. But I think my suggestion is just play with this, try to rack up as much of these testnet tokens as you can, so maybe when in November, when the 30 protocols are announced, nominated, picked, the winners, okay, they might have a testnet phase. But I doubt that. But still, it's better to prepare for that scenario if needed. Okay. So TL;DR: Do the three things in Galaxy. I think the Galaxy makes sense. It's just like very fast. I saw Tion. Always Galaxy tests are pain in the ass though... The Galaxy tests are fast though. I would say that usually Galaxy I would avoid, but this is like Bam Bam Bam. You can just say, you know, go, go fast, kill these CS off, and then go play around test net and then basically just follow Sonic road, because, you know, yet again, $28 million who can give Volof opportunity to get a piece of that, right? So that's good. $28 million. All right. Thanks guys for watching. Yes, sir. Smash the like button, subscribe to the channel.
