Introduction to Instagram Engagement Strategy

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. My name is Jade, and I'm here to help you grow your online presence, multiply your streams of income, and create profitable businesses. So, this is part two of my Instagram strategy series. Yay! And this one's a good one because this one is all about my Instagram engagement strategy. And in my opinion, engagement strategies are the best strategies because I like to think of Instagram as a great place to foster a community versus just a place to grow.

Understanding Engagement Metrics

All good strategies start with the objective. The objective for this strategy is all around engagement. If you're wondering what I mean by engagement, I mean how your audience is interacting with your content. So from a metrics or measurement perspective, engagement is looking at things like likes, comments, shares, saves – anything that your audience is actively doing to engage with your content. Like, that's what we're going to be calling engagement, right?

Posting Frequency and Audience Interests

The first thing that I want to talk about is your posting frequency. Now if you watched the first episode of this series, which is all about growth, you'll know that I actually advise that you post seven times a week, which is basically every day, right? But it's not basically every day, it is literally every day. Now, I'm actually going to advise something slightly different on this occasion because we're focusing on engagement and we're focusing on actually producing really high quality content that your audience is engaging with. I would actually urge you to really consider how often your audience actually wants to see content from you.

Content Type and Audience Preferences

In regards to the type of content that you should be posting five times a week or however often you actually decide, the type of content you want to be posting really depends on the type of content that your audience likes. And this again is different to the growth strategy where I was just basically saying to focus on Reels. This one's different because essentially if your audience likes Reels and they engage with a lot of Reels, they see loads of Reels on their home feed. That's how the algorithm works, right?

Effective Messaging for Engagement

Okay, so let's talk about messaging. When it comes to your messaging for your engagement strategy, you really want to focus on being relatable but also sharing a lot of value in your messaging so that it's savable. So what I basically mean by this is when it comes to engagement and actually getting people to respond to the content that you're creating and to leave comments and stuff like that, you need to make sure that you are connecting with them on a personal level. And that's where the relatability angle comes in.

Leveraging Instagram Stories

Okay, so let's talk about stories and what role stories play in your engagement strategy. Now stories are a super important element to this strategy, and the reason why is because stories are the best feature in my opinion on Instagram. And when it comes to you actually bonding with your audience, the reason why I say this is because stories give you the ability to really bring people behind the scenes of your life.

Engaging with Live Video Content

Okay, so the final element of this engagement strategy that I would like you to try out is to go live with your audience at least every other week. Now, I'm not gonna lie, this is actually a part of the strategy that I don't necessarily do, but that is because I do go live on things like my membership club, which is called the Creators Club, and the link is in the description in case you're interested.

Upcoming Sales Strategy

Ok, so that is it for the second episode of this series. Next week's video will be focusing on sales. So it's going to be a strategy for anyone out there who is trying to sell a product, a service, or who uses things like affiliate links where they're trying to get the audience to make a sale that way. Whatever it may be, next week's video is going to be of huge use to you. So make sure you've subscribed and turned on your bell notifications so that you don't miss out on that episode.
